When I was invited to take part in a virtual Latino book tour by my friend JoAnne Hernandez (Bronze Word), I got excited. I was excited because for the past few weeks, I have seen this author everywhere. When I say everywhere I mean, blogs that I frequent, radio shows that I listen too, I see him promoting on Facebook and we have had some great exchanges on Twitter. So much that I started following the tour around to see if I can win a book somewhere. Well at last we are here with my stop on the book tour and I do want to congratulate all the blogs that did a fantastic job offering potential readers some depth to the online promotion of this book.
As usual, I do want to be a little different than most, so I decided to ask Raul Ramos Y Sanchez to chat with me during tonight's Radio Capicu broadcast. He is indeed a brilliant writer by all accounts but having chatted with him on the phone, I thought it would be something that would add value…especially if YOU the listener got a chance to call in and ask your questions.

A long-time resident of the U.S. Midwest, Cuban-born Raul Ramos y
Sanchez is a founding partner of BRC Marketing, an ad agency
established in 1992 with offices in Ohio and California. Besides
developing a documentary for public television, Two Americas: The
Legacy of our Hemisphere, he is host of MyIimmigrationStory.com
— an online forum for the U.S. immigrant community. Raul began writing
America Libre in 2004, with the input of scholars from Latin America,
Spain, and the United States. After five months as a self-published
edition, America Libre, was acquired by Grand Central Publishing
(formerly Warner Books). The revised version of the novel by Grand
Central Publishing released July 29, 2009. Grand Central Publishing
also acquired El Nuevo Alamo, the sequel to America Libre. El Nuevo
Alamo is slated for release in 2010.
