My name is George "Urban Jibaro" Torres and I am the man behind Sofrito For Your Soul and half the creative force behind the Capicu Poetry & Cultural Showcase .
I created Sofrito For Your Soul in 1997 to engage the English dominant Latino segment looking to reconnect with their native culture here in the United States. I have successfully built a community cultural exchange on the blog and on social platforms that enjoys high traffic and a dedicated readership. In addition to the web properties, I have also developed and co-produced an online talk show (The Capicu Show) and a live cultural showcase called "Capicu Cultural Showcase".
(oh yeah… I speak Spanish too)
Over the past 12 years or so… I have connected and worked with Latino brands, small business, websites, artists, musicians, coalitions, fraternities, sororities, non profit organizations, event organizers, museums, universities, philanthropies, families as well as up and coming entrepreneurs.
I have also lectured, conducted workshops and participated on panels at many educational institutions, conferences and corporate events including Univision, Telemundo, Social Media Bootcamp @ St. Josephs College, Day of Social Good, Muevete, Fuerza Latina in Albany, Academy For Urban Planning, City University of New York, State University of New York, Columbia University, New York University, Michigan State University, Touro Law School and many more.
I am open to find out how we can work together, here are some of the opportunities that are available.
Brand Ambassador, Speaker or Spokesperson opportunities.
Let's connect today and have that conversation… email me at Engage@SofritoMediaGroup.com or schedule a call/meeting with me by clicking here.
